Black pepper - (Piper nigrum)
Aroma:
A nice spicy scent
Uses: after exercise when limbs are aching or tired, good for
digestive problems, colds and chills. Also well known uses include chillblains,
constipation, muscle cramps, poor circulation, sluggish digestion
Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis)
Aroma:
Fresh, herbal, sweet
Uses: an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic- aids skin problems,
stimulates white cell production fighting infection, non toxic, safe
in dilute form for children
Clary sage (Salvea sclarea)
Aroma: Soft
and nutty
Uses: soothes, relaxes away stress, excellent tonic which strengthens
nerves and is helpful for depression
Eucalyptus (Eucalptus globulus)
Aroma:
Penatrating, medicinal
Uses: Respiratory problems, immune system boosting, tension reducer
Juniper (Juniperus communis)
Aroma:
Clear and refreshing
Uses: good for digestive system, helps with overeating and obesity,
gout, rheumatism
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
Aroma:
clean, fresh, floral
Uses: soothing and prepares for sleep, has rejuvenating properties
in skin preperations, good for easing headaches, antiseptic for insect
bites and excellent used neat on burns to prevent blistering & scaring,
also healing, relaxing & refreshing, warms the heart and steadies the
emotions, circulatory stimulant, analgesic, antiseptic.
Lemon(Citrus limon)
Aroma: Clean
lively citrus
Uses: Refreshing to mind and body, high in minerals, eases chilblains,
painless remedy for warts and verucae, can be used on children, insect
bites and stings, antihistamatic, anti-inflammatery, diuretic.
Lime (Citrus aurantifolia)
Aroma: Fresh
and clean scent
Uses: helps with respiratory, catarrh & sinusitis. Has antispasmodic
properties good for coughs caused by congestion of the throat and chest,
astringent for oily skin helping to tone, good sedative for nervous
tension and anxiety, helps reduce build up of fatty deposits in blood
vessels and relaxes them making a good remedy for high blood pressure.

Nutmeg (Myristica frgrans)
Aroma: spicy,

Uses: muscle aches, poor circulation, slow digestion
Orange(Citrus sinensis)
Aroma: sweet

digestion, also good for nourishing the skin, eases indigestion and
may ease constipation and water retention
Rose(Rosa damascena)

Uses: antiseptic, kidney & blood tonic, menstrual regulator,
anti-inflammatory & aphrodisiac
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Aroma: Fresh
and woody
Uses: a powerful mental stimulant which aids memory and concentration,
restores vitality and invigorates, may help overcome mental and physical
fatigue, by stimulating circulation and supporting the central nervous
system
Sandalwood(Santalum album)
Aroma:
Warm sweet & woody
Uses: very effective against viruses, soothing all respiratory
problems, chronic bronchitis & coughs, very good for mature & dry skin,
also relieves itching skin
Teatree (Melaleuca alternifolia)
Aroma:
Strong medicinal
Uses: renowned for its germicidal & anti-fungal properties
